Everyone experiences anxiety at some point, whether or not they realise they are experiencing it. It is a normal human emotion - my work clients who feel their anxiety is overwhelming, is to help them cope with anxiety in a safe way as opposed to distracting themselves from their anxious feelings.
If we understand anxiety is normal and it can be safe for us to feel anxious, we can slowly begin the process of responding to anxiety in different, more productive ways so that it has less impact on our daily lives. |
